Industry's Decision Makers play in Qatar

Qatar is undoubtedly one of the most important strategic countries in the development of sport worldwide, a country that our MBA of LaLiga students could not miss. For 5 days, they had the opportunity to meet the decision makers of the Sports Industry.

On the first day, they visited the Supreme Committee for the Delivery and Legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where they learned all the details of the organization of the World Cup just 8 months before its inauguration. They then learned about the national and international growth strategies of the Qatar Stars League and visited Stadium 974, one of the stadiums where the World Cup will be played, built in part with containers that will be reused at the end of the tournament to build new sports facilities in other parts of the world.

Their second day combined teaching with adventure, as our students began the day by visiting the Losail International Circuit, the circuit where Moto GP and soon Formula 1 drivers compete. They got to know the management model and its spectacular facilities. To conclude the day, they made a Sports Tourism activity with the company Qatar International Tours, besides knowing the operation of a local adventure company, they have been able to be an active part of an activity that moves a lot of tourism to Qatar each year.

We reached the halfway point of the trip, on their third day they witnessed the Aspire Academy, a world leading academy, learning first hand how they train elite athletes from Qatar. They visited the Sports Accelerator, a business hub created by Aspire Zone Foundation, where they were explained how they help companies to create business connections. Finishing with a study case about the legacy of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

On the last day they visited Qatar Foundation, a cultural visit to the Education City Mosque, a mosque located in the Minaretein building, with the aim of being more than just a place for prayer, hosting multiple events and offering a wide range of activities for all those seeking to expand their knowledge.
