Our students of the 'Máster en Marketing Digital' traveled to the United Kingdom to put into practice the knowledge acquired in class and learn what they face and what the day-to-day life of professionals in the sector is like
Our students of the "Máster en Marketing Deportivo de LaLiga" traveled to the United Kingdom to put into practice the knowledge acquired in class and learn what they face and what the day-to-day life of professionals in the sector is like. During the trip they visited major companies such as Wimbledon, Premier League or Six Nations among others. With the help of our delegates in the UK, in the London office who helped design this itinerary full of great sights and experiences.
Tennis was the main focus on the first day, as our students had the opportunity to get to know Wimbledon and the ATP. A total experience, which began with a visit to the emblematic Wimbledon facilities. They attended a presentation about the business, its management and ticketing.
Then, they went to the ATP headquarters, where Lucy Pitchford, Executive Administrator and James Marsalek, Senior Manager, Analysis and Strategy Projects, illustrated them about innovation and technology in sport.
On their second day, they visited the headquarters of LaLiga UK, hosted by Keegan Pierce and Javier del Río, delegates from London & Ireland. They were introduced to LaLiga Global Network, the different partners in England and Ireland and their business development.
Afterwards, they changed sports to get to know one of the most followed sports in the UK, going inside the Six Nations, a prestigious international rugby tournament. James Stebbing, General Counsel and Michael White, Head of PR and Communications gave our students an overview of rugby leagues, tournaments, sponsors and media rights.
We reached the halfway point of the trip, time to get to know IMG Sports, a large and well known agency in the industry, which gave an overview of the company and different projects about sales operations in soccer and event hospitality.
That same afternoon they had the opportunity to visit the Premier League headquarters. Mathieu Moreuil, Director of International Football Relations and EU Affairs and Iain Webb, Head of Commercial gave an overview of the competition. They gained first-hand knowledge of commercial strategies, media rights, sponsorship and audiences.
Wasserman and Liverpool FC, opened their doors on the fourth day of the trip, our students learned how events are managed, sponsorship agreements, technology in sport, by Wasserman. Then awaited one of the most famous stadiums in the UK, Anfield, home of Liverpool FC.
To close a unique trip, our students traveled to Manchester, specifically to the theater of dreams, better known as Old Trafford, Manchester United's stadium, where they learned about the different strategies of the club in terms of social networks, international strategies and activations.
