In the MBA of LALIGA, we have profiles from various professional sectors who have chosen to shift their career focus towards the sports industry, given the growing opportunities it has seen in recent years.

A master's degree in sports management can open the door to a wide range of professional opportunities in the exciting world of sports. From event planning and sports marketing to facility management and sports development, there are many job opportunities within the sports management world as it is an expanding industry.

The MBA of LALIGA, like the rest of the master's programs at LLBS, is a project focused on employability through education. The MBA of LALIGA is committed to providing the rest of the sports industry—LALIGA, clubs, and other sports entities—with human resources specially trained by industry leaders who are prepared to take on the new challenges facing the sector.

For this reason, we work with a limited number of students—25 per MBA—which allows us to engage with them in orientation activities and support in job placement.

The MBA of LALIGA offers a comprehensive training program that allows you to fully develop your skills and enhance those that will enable you to find your place within the sports industry. Some of our alumni are now part of the management teams of clubs, agencies, and other important agents in the sector and lead the transformation of the industry both nationally and internationally.

According to the career paths of our alumni, their professional exit is directed towards one area or another within the industry. The MBA of LALIGA brings together a wide range of professional profiles who share the goal of entering the world of sports management in leadership positions capable of developing the industry.

Marketing Profiles

Profiles with a marketing background specialize in digital strategy, Project Management, or exploitation of sponsorships or assets (if they do not come from the sports industry). Therefore, the MBA of LALIGA is a boost for any marketing profile that, after developing their career and understanding where they want to focus, decides to enter the sports industry. Former students of the MBA of LALIGA are now leading marketing departments of major sports institutions, projects at UEFA, directors of marketing of entities and sports agencies, or sponsorship managers at LALIGA clubs, such as Granada, Deportivo Alavés, or Atlético de Madrid.

Finance Profiles

Finance profiles are very important for the MBA of LALIGA since one of the challenges of the sports industry is to find a balance between financial sustainability and competitiveness on the field. The profiles usually admitted are banking professionals or consultants who decide to take a turn in their careers and bring all their expertise to the world of sports. In this case, they are profiles that quickly find a job in the industry because of the presence of investment funds whose capital injection makes it necessary to hire these profiles, who soon end up with a position of responsibility in relevant companies in institutions or even in LALIGA.

Technology Profiles

A type of profile that in the last two years is gaining a lot of weight in the MBA of LALIGA are professionals with a background in technology companies or technological projects since there is currently a high demand related to profiles capable of applying new tools that technology provides to create new commercial assets, improve the quality of competitions and their broadcasting, and improve sports management in general. More and more profiles from data analysis or engineers with different specializationseek to contribute their technical knowledge to help the industry grow.

Commercial and Business Profiles

A Business Development Director in the sports industry plays a fundamental role in identifying, creating, and capitalizing on business opportunities within this highly competitive sector. The profiles that find an outlet in this area have a combination of commercial skills, market knowledge, and a solid understanding of emerging trends and opportunities, especially related to the digital and technological ecosystem and reach positions in important brands such as Adidas, Legends, or LALIGA.

In addition, the commercial and marketing department of LALIGA accumulates dozens of alumni from LALIGA BUSINESS SCHOOL who have quickly reached manager positions.

International Development Profiles

Internationalization and connecting with fans around the world are one of the goals pursued by LALIGA clubs and other entities to grow. For this reason, LALIGA BUSINESS SCHOOL receives many job opportunities related to international projects. Some of the students who have gone through the MBA of LALIGA have chosen this path for their professional career within the sports industry and today work for LALIGA clubs such as RC Celta de Vigo or Valencia CF, to name a few examples.

If you are considering a master's in sports management, you will also be interested in knowing some of the professional opportunities you can explore after completing your master's in sports management. Also, thanks to the LALIGA IMPULSO project, which allows clubs to make investments focused on their growth at a strategic level, employability and professionalization of the sector have been highlighted and the demand for profiles specialized in sports management, among others, has grown.
